When & Why did you become a Personal Trainer?

I have been involved in the fitness industry for a long time, unofficially training and competing in events with other adults and children. In 2011 I decided that I would I would make it official and completed Certificate III and IV in Fitness and Level 1 Boxing. I did this because of the benefits I have received through fitness and the balance that I have found fitness provides me with in my life. I wanted to be able to assist other people to discover these rewards.

What does eMotion Fitness mean to you?

I have been training for a long time, but it was not until I started training at eMotion Fitness that real change took place. I learnt a new way to train which provided me with results that I had been looking for. eMotion Fitness is a welcoming, supportive, challenging and fun environment in which to train with an experienced group of fitness professionals. A place where, if you are willing to take the steps, change is an option for everyone.

What do you love about supporting people?

I have been motivated and supported by some amazing and inspirational people. I feel privileged to offer this same support to others while they take the necessary steps to make positive changes in their lives. It is incredibly rewarding to watch a person discover their potential through achieving their health and wellness goals, and realize how this impacts positively on the rest of their lives.

What are you passionate about when it comes to training & your body?

I have always exercised, but it was not until after I had my first child that I really became aware just how important fitness is in maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle. My specialties are cardiovascular endurance and speed training and muscular balance and resistance training. With all my training I place great priority on educating people about the importance of core strength, healthy posture, stability, balance and flexibility. I enjoy working with people of all ages and have specific interests in child and adolescent fitness and well being.

Why should people train with you?

I am passionate about fitness. Quite simply, I believe it is the key to living a balanced, happy and rewarding life. When people decide to start training, they have taken the first step toward living a better life. I see my role as assisting that person to understand and formulate their goals, both short and long term, and put the necessary changes into place to achieve those goals. My approach is a comprehensive and holistic one, taking into account the importance of individualized training sessions, and educating a person in regards to smart nutrition and adequate rest and recovery. It is also about keeping that person accountable, and empowering them to take charge of their life in a way in which their health and fitness becomes a priority.

Favourite quote or motivational saying?

The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little bit extra.

-          I became a personal trainer in 2010 through Southbank institute of Technology. I have a passion for health and fitness and wanting to share that with others to better their life and make a difference.  I love the feeling after exercise and the physical challenges I face with my body each day to gain self love and happiness.

I want to show people how rewarding fitness can be mentally and physical and discover the feeling of absolute satisfaction and happiness, and how it can affect other aspects of your life in a good way.
